Kenji Kodama GZ10 Soarer
📍Hiroshima Prefecture NEO FORCE - 2004
“He decided to make an old Soarer in his own way, and created a beautiful drift car! With the SR engine and Silvia front suspension swap, this GZ10 had great potential that rivaled even the Silvia!”
The Kodama GZ10 was painted in scarlet red and finished in a stylish way. It is true that there are hardly any aftermarket parts for these cars, but it was created with passion to make it look beautiful and clean.
The exterior was fitted with Yamato aero parts and a GT wing. He says he has done his best and spared no expense, admitting “I don’t even know how much this build has cost.” He made small modifications whenever he noticed they were needed to get the car to this point.
It’s not just the exterior that’s beautiful. Under the hood was also amazing. An SR engine from the S15 was swapped in, the radiator is homemade, and a T517Z turbo and intercooler were also installed. Apparently the front suspension was also completely transplanted from a Silvia which was a remarkable move!
The interior was also full of unique ideas, using plenty of aluminum parts he made himself. But he’s never considered it finished; for example, he wanted to try a top-mounted turbo, and for the interior, he wanted to make the dashboard out of carbon or aluminum. Kodama-kun’s plans to modify the GZ10 Soarer were endless!”
